세인트루이스 출신의 하드코어 펑크밴드 Ultraman이 샌프란시스코의 New Red Archives에서 발표한 두번째 앨범으로 재결성전의 마지막 앨범이며, 첫번째 앨범을 Goverment Issue의 Tom Lyle이 프로듀싱 한데 이어 두번째 앨범은 UK Subs의 Nicky Garratt이 프로듀서로 참여했다.

유튜브의 영상은 1989년경의 "Critical Mass"라는 세인트루이스 지역 케이블방송의 영상이라고 하는데 멤버들의 옷차림이 장르별 모듬같이 제각각인 점이 상당히 특이해 보인다.  

 

Get Back에서 발매한 3LP 박스셋으로 One Way System이 발표했던 2장의 앨범 「All Systems Go」와 「Writing On The Wall」이 inner sleeve 그대로 재현되어 있으며 1981-84년 사이에 발표했던 싱글들의 모음인 「The Singles Collection」이 추가로 수록되어 있다.

1983년 Anagram에서 발매했던 2번째 앨범이자 마지막 앨범이다. 밴드는 80년대 중반에 해산했다 90년대 중반에 재결성 되어 싱글과 앨범들을 발표하며 활동중이다.

"No Return"

1997년 Get Back에서 재발매한 「Gutterbox」3LP 중 하나로 Beat The System/No Future/Anagram에서 1981년부터 1984년까지 발매했던 싱글들을 모아놓은 컴필레이션이다. 1982년 데뷔앨범 「All Systems Go」에 하드하게 편곡되어 실린 "Jerusalem"의 1981년 데모 버전을 들을 수 있다.

대처리즘에 대한 비판의 목소리가 조금 더 직접적으로 드러나 있는 싱글로 모든 곡이 정규앨범에는 수록되지 않았다.

무자비한 복지정책 폐지와 경제성장 위주의 정책으로 파탄에 이른 노동자들의 심정을 절박하게 표현한 "Woman In Disguise"가 좋은 반응을 얻었으며, 데이빗린치의 "Elephant Man"에서 컨셉을 빌어왔다고 하는 뮤직비디오도 화제가 됐었다.

「I Against I」(1986, SST)부터 본격적으로 시작한 하드코어 펑크와 메탈릭한 사운드의 연장선상에 있는 앨범으로 전작의 임팩트에 미치지 못한다는 평에도 불구하고 레코드 판매에서는 좋은 성과를 올렸다.
초기부터 밝히고 다녔던 그들의 호모기피증은 "Don't Blow Bubbles"에서 더욱 노골적으로 나타났다. 에이즈를 신의 심판이라고 표현했던 그들은 20년이 지난 후에 Darryl Jennifer의 인터뷰에서 다소 횡설수설하게 그들의 경솔했음을 일부 인정하는 모습을 보이기도 했다.

"Soul Craft"

부틀렉과 희귀버전 이라는 타이틀로 발매되었지만 사실상 Angelic Upstarts의 정수들을 잘 선곡해 놓은 완성도 높은 베스트 앨범 수준으로 보아도 될 앨범이다.

2002년에 Cleopatra에서 라이브를 추가해 「Bootlegs Live And Rarities」라는 2CD의 확장 버전으로 재발매 했다.

Chumbawamba의 첫번째 앨범으로 Live Aid를 기점으로 일기 시작한 록스타들의 '자선' 열풍에 대한 비판의 목소리가 앨범 전편에 흐르고 있다. 대중들이 선망하는 그들이 대중을 어떻게 기만하고 돈을 벌기 위한 수단으로 이용했는지에 대해 거침없이 비판을 가하고 있으며, Live Aid를 Slag Aid라 부르길 주저하지 않는다.
